After my first encounters with Switzerland, in Geneva, Solothurn, and Basel, I was left with mixed feelings. The museums, celebrated for the richness of their collections, revealed only a small part of their treasures, inspiring as much frustration as curiosity. The Alps, meanwhile, remained distant, visible on the horizon yet still out of reach, like an unfulfilled promise.
It was in this frame of mind that I continued my journey to Zurich. I spent a day exploring its museums before wandering along the lakeside. The city turned out to be an unexpected delight. I discovered a wealth of graphic works and drawings that resonated deeply with me. Between its artistic heritage, urban character, and the ever-changing light of the lake, Zurich became a rich source of inspiration for this series.
The drawings presented here are the result of that encounter with the city, a personal interpretation of its landscapes, architecture, and the impressions gathered during my exploration.
And then came Stechelberg.
